RENEW Program Details
The RENEW Program (Restore and Empower through Nutrition, Exercise, and Wellness) is a monthly lifestyle medicine program offered through Sarasota Memorial Health Care System.
RENEW is designed to help adults build sustainable habits that support better health, energy, and quality of life.
The program focuses on three core pillars: nutrition, exercise, and wellness (including stress management and sleep behaviors).

Rather than moving through a rigid week-by-week course, RENEW offers continuous support through professional coaching, rotating weekly spotlight topics, and practical tools that members can use at their own pace. The program adapts as your needs change, making it a flexible and realistic approach to long-term health.

RENEW is ideal for adults who want to:

• Receive professional guidance and accountability without a rigid plan
RENEW is structured as an ongoing membership, so you can join any time.
Many members choose to stay enrolled for several months or longer to build consistency, navigate life changes, and continue receiving coaching support. Your length of participation is flexible and can be adjusted based on your goals.
$150/month (less than $40/week).
RENEW is a self-pay membership program and is not currently billed through insurance. Some members may be eligible to use FSA or HSA funds. We recommend checking with your plan provider.

The program fee may be reimbursable through your FSA or HSA with a letter of medical necessity.
Follow these steps before the start of the program:
1. Print a Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN) from your FSA/HSA provider's website.
Note: Hospital employees using P&A Group can find their LMN attached below.
1. Have your medical doctor or nurse practitioner complete the LMN (see instructions attached below).
2. Complete the payment for the RENEW program online.
3. Ask a RENEW Health Coach (mailto:contact@smhrenew.com?subject=FSA/HSA%20receipt)to send you a copy of your receipt and an itemized invoice.
4. Submit your (1) LMN, (2) receipt, and (3) invoice to your FSA/HSA provider for reimbursement before the start of the program.
Instructions for obtaining & completing a Letter of Medical Necessity (give to your physician):

The program staff includes 2 Registered Dietitians and 4 certified Health and Wellness Coaches.
The medical director of the RENEW program is SMH Director of Clinical Research Kirk Voelker, MD.
