Steamed Green Beans

Servings: 3 Prep time: 5 min Cooking time: 7 min


  • 3 cups Green Beans (trimmed, fresh or frozen)

  • 1/2 tsp Everything Bagel Seasoning

  • 1 1/2 Tbsps Extra Virgin Olive Oil


  1. Bring a 1/2-inch of salted water to boil in a large pan. Add green beans, cover and cook for about 5 to 7 minutes or until desired tenderness is reached.

  2. Remove greens beans with a slotted spoon and transfer to a bowl.

  3. Toss with extra virgin olive oil and everything bagel seasoning (optional). Enjoy!

  • Use a Steamer Basket: Add green beans to the steamer basket and set over a pot of boiling water. Cover and cook for about 5 minutes or until tender.

  • Use the Microwave: Place washed and trimmed green beans in a microwave-safe bowl. Add just enough water to cover the bottom of the bowl, 2 to 3 tablespoons. Cover bowl with a plate and microwave for 4 to 6 minutes, until green beans are tender.

  • More Flavor: Season with your favorite spices

  • Leftovers: Refrigerate in an airtight container for up to three days.
